Our Story
We've come a long way since we launched in 2019. Here's the story so far...
2019-2020
The creation of CAPSLOCK

CAPSLOCK began as a simple idea between a cyber security recruiter and two senior cyber academics. The UK has a growing cyber skills gap and a lot of people wanting to switch careers. Surely, there must be a way to effectively and efficiently re-skill these people into cyber security professionals? This was the initial discussion which ultimately led Andrea, Jonathan and Lorna to create CAPSLOCK and revolutionise cyber security education.

2021
CAPSLOCK Launches

After building the founding team, the CAPSLOCK curriculum and our digital campus, we enrolled 32 learners on a pilot cohort in February 2021. It was a huge success, and we launched a further three cohorts that year. 2021 also saw CAPSLOCK crowned the most innovate cyber start-up in the UK by the government and TechUK.

2022
CAPSLOCK continues to grow

Since launch, we have enrolled over 320 people onto our cyber security bootcamps and have worked with some of the UK's largest cyber employers. We also launched a ground-breaking reskilling initiative with BT, helping them reskill 30 of their employees into BT Security Protectors.
